Did you know that Dr. James Kelley is the 2021-2022 President of the South Carolina Association of Orthodontics (SCAO)? The SCAO is a part of a greater organization called the Southern Association of Orthodontics (SAO). The SAO was founded in 1921 and serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The goal of these organizations are to equip orthodontists to provide better patient care, advocacy, and continuing education for their members. The SAO is also the second-largest organization that is a part of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Kelley is dedicated to the future of orthodontics and has volunteered his time over the past 5 years to this organization. Throughout his years of service, he has invested in the future of orthodontics in South Carolina, mentored others in the field, and acted as a liaison for the South Carolina members.
